2004: The Ice play their first game as a USHL entry in Chicago, beating the Steel 3-2. Todd McIlrath scores the first Ice goal at 7:46 of the first period, assisted by A.J. Panchenko – doing so 10 seconds after finishing off the first penalty. Eddie Del Grosso scores in the second and Travis Winter scores the game-winner with 9:52 left. B.J. O’Brien makes 34 saves in net.

Dale Henry: Left wing who joined the Checkers for two playoff games in 1984. He had been the Islanders’ eighth-round pick in the 1983 draft, and was coming off a 41-goal season for WHL Saskatoon. Henry played 19 pro seasons, retiring in the 2001-02 season with the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. He played 132 NHL games between 1984-90, all with the Islanders, with 13 goals, 26 assists and 263 penalty minutes. He became a prolific scorer in the CHL/WPHL, tallying six 20-goal seasons and three 30-goal years for San Antonio and Shreveport from 1994-2001. He also was the head coach of the San Antonio Iguanas in 1996-97 for part of the year, and the Corpus Christi IceRays in 2001-02. He is currently involved as hockey director for a rink in San Antonio. A native of Prince Albert, Sask., he is 53.
Chris Martenet: Ice defenseman in the 2013-14 season. In 35 games, the 6-7, 188-pound blueliner had five assists. He played the last three seasons for the OHL’s London Knights and Ottawa 67s, where he had 44 points in 186 games, and reunited with former Ice coach Jeff Brown in Ottawa. In 2016, he signed with the Dallas Stars, who drafted him in 2015’s fourth round. He made his pro debut in the spring of 2017 with the Texas Stars. A native of St. Louis, he is 21.
Jonathan Parker: Forward who played two games for the Fuel in 2014-15. He came to the Fuel in a trade from Colorado, but suffered an injury early in his time. He had 26 points in 60 games for four different ECHL teams in 2015-16. A native of Solana Beach, Calif., he is 26.
Josh Shalla: Fuel forward in 2016-17. Acquired in a midseason trade from Wheeling, he scored 22 points and 42 points in 48 games for the team, and finisehd the year with 32 goals and 60 points in 61 games. Shalla came to Indy in his fifth pro season, having also played for Cincinnati and Toledo in the ECHL, as well as Milwaukee in the AHL. He was a fourth-round pick of the Nashville Predators in 2011. He currently plays for the Nottingham Panthers in Britain. A native of Whitby, Ont., he is 26.
Jack Burton: Indy Fuel defenseman in 2016-17 who re-signed for 2017-18. He played four games for the team after finishing his college career at Colby College. A native of Reiserstown, Md., he is 25.
