Rosaire Paiement: Racers center from 1976-78. He played 128 games in Indy, with 24 goals and 49 assists. He also had five assists in the nine playoff games in 1977 with the Racers. “Rosie” broke into the NHL in 1967-68 with the Flyers, and played 11 seasons in the NHL & WHA with Philadelphia and Vancouver in the NHL, and the Chicago Cougars, New England Whalers and Racers in the WHA. He had 18 goals in 1976-77, but retired after suffering an eye injury in a fight the next season. He had six 20-plus goal seasons in the WHA and NHL, and in total, had 194 goals and 273 assists in 645 major pro games. Today, he lives in Florida and is part-owner of a restaurant. A native of Earlton, Ont., he is 72. 

Dave Dornseif: Defenseman who played three games for the Racers in 1977-78, tallying one assist. He was picked in the ninth round of the 1976 NHL Draft by the Blues, and in the fourth round of that year’s WHA Draft by the Racers, and completed his college career at Providence in 1978. He played two pro seasons, spending all but four games in the minors with the Erie Blades. A native of Edina, Minn., he is 61.

Paul Houck: Right wing for the Ice in 1988-89, he had 22 goals and 37 assists in 81 games. The Wisconsin grad was a fourth-round pick of the Edmonton Oilers in 1981, and had a goal and two assists in 16 NHL games with the North Stars from 1985-88. He was a prolific scorer in the minors, with three 20-goal seasons in the AHL/IHL. He played in Europe after his stint with the Ice. His son Jackson was drafted by the Oilers in 2013, making the pair the first father-and-son to be picked by the Oilers in their history. A native of Vancouver, he is 54. 

Roch Belley: Ice goaltender from 1991-94. He played 33 games for the Ice, with a record of 5-14-4. The bulk of his play came in 1991-92, when he shared the net with Dominik Hasek and Ray LeBlanc, when he made 25 starts as a rookie. He was the Blackhawks’ eighth round pick in 1991 after finishing his junior career. He played the bulk of the 1992-93 and 1993-94 seasons in the Central and Colonial Hockey Leagues, and retired after the 1994 season. A native of Hull, Quebec, he is 46.

Denis Smirnov: Forward for the Ice in the 2013-14 season. He had 15 goals and 26 assists in 47 games and was one of the top 16-year-olds in the USHL during his rookie season, in which he helped lead the Ice to a Clark Cup championship. He went to Fargo after his year with the Ice, and skated in 160 USHL games, with 62 goals and 80 assists. He recently finished his freshman year at Penn State with 19 goals and 28 assists in 39 games. A native of Dunmore, Penn., he is 20.

Sam Jardine: Fuel defenseman in 2015-16. He played 50 games for the Fuel, with two goals and three assists. He came to Indy after three years at Ohio State, where he had 32 points. A sixth-round pick of the Blackhawks in 2011, Jardine signed with Rockford in 2015, and also played six AHL games in 2015-16. He split 2016-17 between San Antonio of the AHL and Colorado of the ECHL, and recently signed with Orlando of the ECHL. A native of Lacombe, Alberta, he is 24.
