December 27 in Indianapolis hockey history
1951: Enio Sclisizzi scores two goals and adds an assist, and Lou Jankowski and Johnny Wilson each score twice in an 8-6 Capitals victory over St. Louis. Earl Reibel adds a goal and an assist in the win.
1955: Leo Lamoureux joins the Chiefs as a 5-11, 195-pound defenseman from Windsor, who had played for the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL. Leo would be named coach one week later.
1957: The Chiefs score six first-period goals in a 9-7 victory in Louisville. Marc Boileau and Pierre Brillant have two goals and an assist each.
1974: Jim Wiste scores 17 seconds into the first period, and the Racers secure their first tie, 1-1 in Vancouver.
1975: Nick Harbaruk scores twice, including 2:08 into the third, to give the Racers a 2-1 win over Cincinnati. Leif Holmquist stops 31 of the 32 shots he sees at MSA.
1991: Mike Stapleton has a four-point night and Dominik Hasek makes 21 saves in a 6-3 Ice win over Kalamazoo. Stapleton tallies two goals and two assists. Craig Woodcroft also has two goals.
2013: Jason Pawloski posts his first USHL shutout, stopping 24 shots in a 4-0 win at Youngstown. Tyler Pham, Patrick Newell, Aidan Muir and Brian Pinho score the goals and Josh Jacobs adds two assists.

Joe Bonvie: Goaltender who played three games for the Ice in 1994-95. He was 1-1-0 with a 6.60 GAA. The Salem State University graduate played 80 games over three pro seasons from 1994-97. A native of Stephenville, Newfoundland, he is 45.
Steve L’Ecuyer: Defenseman who played 38 games for the Ice in 2003-04. He was scoreless and tallied 73 penalty minutes. He played from 2003-06 in the CHL, LNAH and ECHL. A native of Thunder Bay, Ont., he is 34.
