Indy Fuel goaltender Jake Hildebrand was named the ECHL’s CCM Goaltender of the Week for his play last weekend.
In two starts, Hildebrand allowed two goals, posting his first career professional shutout in the process. It’s the second such honor for the former Michigan State Spartan, who also won the award Oct 18 – the season’s opening week.
He was 2-0-0 with a 0.96 GAA last weekend in two victories over the Alaska Aces, posting a .970 save percentage.
He is 4-2-1 with a 2.82 GAA and .912 save percentage over the season. Hildebrand is the third Fuel goaltender to receive Goaltender of the Week honors, joining Shane Owen and Mac Carruth.
