Fuel weekly preview: March 24-25

After going 1-2-0 last weekend, falling to two Eastern Conference teams before continuing their dominance over the Midwest Division, the Indy Fuel are hitting the home stretch of the season against division foes. They’ll play their next three games against the Cincinnati Cyclones – including two this weekend at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum – then play three of their last four against Fort Wayne, with a trip to Quad City thrown in. The Fuel are currently seven points back of Quad City for the last playoff spot and nine back of Colorado, which is in seventh place.

Roster moves: Last week, with goaltender Mac Carruth being called up to Rockford prior to the weekend, the Fuel signed goaltender Jeromy Semtner prior to Saturday’s game. The Chicago native played 23 games for the FHL’s Brewster Bulldogs this season. On Wednesday, the Fuel released Seminar and announced the signing of rookie Terry Shafer. Also Wednesday, Rockford called up D Nick Mattson.

Next up: The Fuel head to Cincinnati for a March 31 tilt, then finish the season’s penultimate weekend in Fort Wayne April 2 and Quad City April 3.
