Former Indiana Ice forward Daniil Tarasov is set to make his NHL debut, as he was called up by the San Jose Sharks on Thursday afternoon.
Tarasov has 25 points for the AHL Worcester Sharks this season, with 10 goals and 15 assists. He had 17 goals and 31 points in 47 games in Worcester last season.
He played two years for the Ice, from 2010-12. He had 74 goals and 79 assists with the Ice in 117 games, including a 47-41-88 season in 2011-12.
When Tarasov takes the ice for the Sharks, he will become the seventh former Indiana Ice player to play in the NHL, joining Joel Rechlicz (NY Islanders), Cameron Schilling (Washington), John Carlson (Washington), Torey Krug (Boston), Paul Carey (Colorado) and Scott Darling (Chicago).
