The Indy Fuel unveiled their mascot and new sweaters Friday during the opening day of the Indiana State Fair.
The uniforms will be based on a unique template, with a stylized red, black and white collar. The light-colored sweaters will be white, the dark-colored sweaters will be black. Both will feature a small red patch at the top of the sleeve, thin red and gold bands near the bottom of the sleeves above the sleeve numbers, and a thin gold band with a large red band at the bottom of the sweater. The Indy Fuel primary logo will adorn both uniforms.
ECHL teams wear their white sweaters at home for half the season, then switch to the dark sweaters, so Fuel fans will be able to get a look at both uniforms throughout the year.
The sweaters are now for sale online and in the Fuel’s merchandise store, “The Garage,” in the Fairgrounds Coliseum lobby.
“Nitro,” the team’s mascot, will be a red dragon, with gold and black highlights.
