Allen Tarasuk: Right wing who played 46 games for the Checkers in their final season of 1986-87. He had eight goals, 12 assists and 173 penalty minutes. He also had three points in six playoff games. That was his only minor pro season — he played two years of junior hockey in the WHL, played two seasons of Canadian college hockey at the University of Alberta, and then went back and completed his eligibility at Alberta after playing for the Checkers. A native of Edmonton, he is 50.
