Ravil Gusmanov: “The Goose” played two seasons with the Ice, tallying 27 goals and 38 assists in 71 games. He came to the team late in the 1995-96 season after a trade between the Blackhawks and Winnipeg Jets and made an immediate impact with 16 points in 11 games, as well as five points in five playoff games. The next year, he had 21 goals in 60 games, but was dealt to the Flames late in the year and finished the season in the AHL. Drafted in the fourth round of the 1993 NHL Draft by the Winnipeg Jets, he played four games with the Jets in 1995-96. He played the 1997-98 season with the IHL’s Chicago Wolves and then headed to Russia for a long career in that country’s top league that lasted until 2010. A native of Naberezhyne Chelny, Russia, he is 42.
Monty Trottier: Checkers center in two stints, from 1981-84 and 1985-86. He was drafted by the Islanders in the fourth round of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft, and joined the Checkers for the playoffs after his junior season ended in 1981, tallying three points in five games. He played four full seasons for the Checkers. In 285 regular-season games, he had 72 goals and 99 assists, as well as 452 penalty minutes. He had a 27-goal season in the IHL in 1985-86, his last pro season. He also played 42 postseason games for the Checkers, with seven goals and 16 assists. Trottier currently resides in Indianapolis where his family has been a key part of the youth hockey scene. His brother Rocky is also heavily-involved in local youth hockey. Their other brother, Bryan, won six Stanley Cups with the Islanders and Penguins. A native of Val Marie, Sask., he is 53.
Grant Hutton: Defenseman who played four games for the Ice during the 2012-13 season. He played the bulk of that season, and the 2013-14 season, in the NAHL with Corpus Christi. He also played 20 games in 2013-14 with USHL Tri-City. A native of Carmel, he is 19.
